CGA Pitch n Putt Golf Tournament 2023

The Chandigarh Golf Association (CGA) organized a successful Junior/Sub Junior Pitch and Putt Golf Competition at CGA golf range. In this competition a total of 40 young budding golfers participated.
The competition was open to golfers aged between 12 and 18 years, and the Sub Junior category was for golfers under the age of 12 years for boys and girls both. The event aimed to promote golf among youngsters and provide them with an opportunity to showcase their skills in a competitive environment.
The competition was held in a pitch and putt format on stable ford basis, which is a shorter version of the game that is played on a smaller course with shorter holes. This format is ideal for young golfers as it helps them develop their skills in a more relaxed and fun environment.
This Competition was a huge success, with the participants displaying exceptional talent and sportsmanship.
Speaking about the ceremony, Mr. P S Pruthi, IRS (Retd. ), President of CGA and Chief Guest of the Day, was accompanied by Mr. Sanjiv D.P. Azad, IRS, Gen secretary, and Mr. Monish D. P. Azad, Vice President of CGA. The President said, “We are delighted to see such a large number of young golfers participating in our Junior/Sub Junior Pitch and Putt Golf Competition. Our aim is to promote golf among youngsters and provide them with the necessary resources to develop their skills. We believe that this event will go a long way in inspiring these young golfers to take up golf as a serious sport.”
The CGA Junior/Sub Junior Pitch and Putt Golf Competition was sponsored by Hindalco Group. The winners of the competition were awarded trophies for Winner and Runner Up Positions for both Boys and Girls.
The success of this event has paved the way for similar events in the future, which will provide more opportunities for young golfers to showcase their skills.
