CH01-DB-0001 Fetches ₹22.58 Lakh as Chandigarh’s e-Auction Raises ₹2.71 Crore

The Office of the Registering & Licensing Authority, UT Chandigarh, successfully conducted an e-Auction of fancy and choice vehicle registration numbers from the new series “CH01-DB” (0001–9999), along with leftover special numbers from previous series, during October 29–31, 2025.

The auction received an enthusiastic response from bidders, resulting in a total revenue of ₹2,71,57,000 being generated for the Chandigarh Administration.

The registration number “CH01-DB-0001” fetched the highest bid of ₹22,58,000, while “CH01-DB-0007” secured the second-highest bid of ₹10,94,000.

The overwhelming participation reflects the growing interest of vehicle owners in obtaining distinctive registration numbers through a transparent and fully digital process.
