Chander Mohan Feels the Pain of the Poor and Respects Farmers: Sukhwinder Sukhu
The Voice of Chandigarh : As the Haryana Assembly elections approach their final phase, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu arrived in Barwala. He addressed an impressive public gathering in Barwala in support of Congress candidate Chander Mohan. Addressing the people who had come from Barwala and surrounding villages, Sukhu said that everyone in the region is well-acquainted with Chander Mohan. He stated that Chander Mohan is a beloved leader of the people, but what he has observed is that Chander Mohan’s heart aches for the poor and he has great respect for farmers. Sukhu added that Chander Mohan is the son of a leader who gave a new dimension to development in Haryana. He said that Chander Mohan has always followed in the footsteps of his father, Chaudhary Bhajan Lal, and like him, Haryana’s welfare has always been his top priority.
The Himachal CM noted that Chander Mohan is highly alert to the developmental needs of his region and the necessities of every person, which the people know even better than him. He added, “I can only say that no one from Panchkula will need to run around for their work. A single phone call to Chander Mohan will get everything done.”
Sukhwinder Sukhu urged voters to remember the guarantees Congress has made when they go to vote on October 5. He said that Congress has promised MSP (Minimum Support Price), Rs. 2000 monthly for women, and the reimplementation of OPS (Old Pension Scheme). He emphasized that, unlike the BJP, these promises are not mere slogans but are set in stone. Citing the example of Himachal Pradesh, he said that his government has already fulfilled all of these promises.
Sukhwinder Sukhu further stated that today, the country needs Congress’ ideology. Criticizing the BJP, Sukhu said that the party is working to divide the nation based on religion and caste, while Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is concerned only about the upliftment of the poor. He is traveling across the country to unite all Indians.
Addressing the large gathering, Congress candidate from Panchkula, Chander Mohan, said that just as Congress, under Sukhu’s leadership, defeated the BJP in the neighboring state of Himachal Pradesh, the misrule of the BJP in Haryana is also going to end on October 8. Thanking Himachal CM Sukhwinder Sukhu for his support, Chander Mohan remarked that his margin of victory will now be even greater.
