The Voice of Chandigarh :
On the completion of two years of Chandigarh Congress President Harmohinder Singh Lucky’s tenure, tremendous enthusiasm was seen among the leaders and workers at the Congress Bhawan after many years. Hundreds of leaders and workers at the Congress Bhawan felicitated their leader Harmohinder Singh Lucky by presenting him with drums, sweets, cakes, garlands, and bouquets. Chandigarh MP Manish Tiwari reached the Congress Bhawan and thanked Lucky by presenting him with a bouquet and, while wishing him, said that victory in the elections was possible today only because of the Lucky-Tiwari pair. From 11 am onwards, leaders from different areas, along with their colleagues, market committees, RWAs, and NGO members reached the Congress Bhawan, cut the cake, and while thanking, everyone said that the way Lucky strengthened the Congress in the last two years is commendable. Former mayors, councillors, and leaders from different parties were welcomed into the Congress family and honored.
The India Alliance was the main architect in Chandigarh and kept the councillors of its party together in the mayoral elections, fighting the battle up to the Supreme Court and winning the mayoral election. He bet on a new face for the Lok Sabha seat of Chandigarh and played a key role in getting a ticket for Manish Tiwari, who also won. Lucky kept the senior leaders and workers of the party united and also showed the way out of the party to many by taking strict decisions. The kind of crowd and enthusiasm that was there in the Congress Bhawan today has been seen only after many years. Giving assurance to all the leaders and workers who had come, Lucky said that the Congress is my family and I will take everyone together, and the policies and ideology of the Congress will be taken to every home. Lucky thanked the Congress high command and said that they made him the president by winning trust in him and accepted his words spoken in the interest of the party, for which he will always be grateful.
