Action against illicit liquor
Chandigarh Police arrested Rajesh Kumar R/o # 3193/1, Sector-44, Chandigarh (Age-59 Years) and recovered 12 bottles country made liquor from his possession near Kerosene pump, Sector 22, Chandigarh on 04-02-2022. A case FIR No. 23, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Chandigarh Police arrested Shiv Ram R/o # 2055, Phase-2, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh (Age-26 Years) and recovered 12 bottles of Royal stile whiskey, 2 boxes of blue stroke and 96 quarters from his possession near Plot No.5 Phase-2, Ind Area, Chandigarh on 04-02-2022. A case FIR No. 16, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Action against Gambling
District Crime Cell of Chandigarh Police arrested Rahim @ Lala R/o # 222/1 Maloya, Chandigarh (Age-30 Years), while playing satta near outer gate ISBT, Sector -17, Chandigarh on 04-02-2022. Total cash Rs. 12250/- was recovered from his possession. A case FIR No. 22, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Later he was released on bail. A case FIR No. 17, U/S 406, 420 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh on the complaint Anoop Bajwa (Advocate at Judicial Complex, Pb. & Hr. High Court Chandigarh) against Rajwinder Singh Virk R/o Omaxe City near Mehlanwali, Jagadhari, Distt. Yamunanagar HR, and his wife cheated complainant’s cash Rs. 300000/- in December-2019 to get him Job as AAG at Pb. & high court. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A case FIR No. 25, U/S 420, 467, 468, 471, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of Lalit Kumar Kundra R/o # 152, Sector 12, PKL, against Satsh Kumar, Ram Kumar, Pardeep and Anupam Gupta, Directors of M/s GBP Pvt. Limited SCO No. 196-197, Sector 34, Chandigarh, they all cheated complainant Rs. 8400000/- for providing him a showroom No. 253 on the 2nd floor in Project Centrum in Zirakpur. A case FIR No. 24, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the statement of a girl resident of Sector 61, Mohali, (Age 24 Years) who alleged that motorcycle No. CH01BV-5918 which was driven by Mahesh who hit her near Gurudwara, Sector 34, Chandigarh on 28.01.2022. Complainant got injuries and admitted in PGI for treatment. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A case FIR No. 17, U/S 279, 337 added 304-A IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh on the statement of Deepak r/o # 5865, Sector 56, Chandigarh reported that unknown I-20 car hit to complainant’s Cousin namely Ritika who was driving Activa No. CH01BG-7778 on 04.02.2022 at Sector 39/56 dividing road, Sector 39 side, Chandigarh. Ritika got sustained injuries and admitted in PGI and where duty doctor declared him brought dead. Investigation of the case is in progress.
