Two arrested in a snatching case
Gagan R/o # 211/1, Old Darshani Baag, Mani Majra, Chandigarh reported that two unknown occupants of the motorcycle sped away after snatching the complainant’s mobile phone near Shivalik Park, Mani Majra, Chandigarh on 29-08-2021. A case FIR No. 151, U/S 379A IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Later, Parminder Singh R/o Flat No. 5, Gulmohar Trends, Dhakouli, Zirakpur, Mohali, PB (age-26 years) and Kamal R/o # 1494, Churian Wala Mohalla, Mani Majra, Chandigarh (age-26 years) have been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Snatching
Gagan Deep Gautam R/o # 821, Village Kishangarh, Chandigarh reported that one unknown person snatched the complainant’s mobile phone and sped away with another occupant of a motorcycle near Sector-18/19/7/8 Chowk towards Sector-18, Chandigarh on the night intervening 29/30-08-2021. A case FIR No. 50, U/S 379A, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Burglary
A lady resident of Sector 47, Chandigarh reported that an unknown person committed theft at her house and stole away Gold Chain, 4 Pair Ear Rings, 3 lockets on the night intervening 29/30-08-2021. A case FIR No. 119, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Cheating
A case FIR No. 222, U/S 420 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh on the complaint of Avtar Singh, Manager, State Bank of India, SCO No. 78, Sector-38/C, Chandigarh who alleged that a lady resident of Sector-38, Chandigarh fraudulently presented herself as the original holder of the Special Term Deposit Account (STDR) which was in the name of another person with the same name amounting to Rs 1,16,951/- and get issued duplicate STDR against it. Further, she gets transferred the maturity amount to her saving account on 24.08.2006. Investigation of the case is in progress.
MV Theft
Parwinder Singh R/o # 3133, Sector-56, Chandigarh reported that an unknown person stole away the complainant’s M/Cycle No. CH-01AV-4443 parked in front of his residence on the night intervening 29/30-08-2021. A case FIR No. 223, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Fetus/Newborn Found
A case FIR No. 224, U/S 318 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh against an unknown person who thrown away a fetus near slip road, Sector 40/D, Chandigarh on 30.08.2021. Investigation of the case is in progress.
