ANOTHER BREAKTHROUGH FOR CHANDIGARH POLICE ARRESTS ACCUSED IN 48 HOURS
The Voice of Chandigarh News: In another breakthrough, the following accused has been arrested within 48 hrs by the team of Police Station Sector 17, Chandigarh under the leadership of Inspector Om Parkash SHO/PS-17, Chandigarh, and overall supervision of Mr. Charanjit Singh Virk, SDPO/Central in case FIR No. 34 dt 16.02.2022 u/s 328,420 IPC PS-17, Chandigarh from village-Mandoli, Yamunanagar, Hry.
Brief Facts of case
It is submitted that the aforementioned case has been registered on the complaint of a lady resident of Chandigarh. She reported that she came in contact with alleged Sidharth Sharma resident of Ambala Cantt, Hry through Facebook from the last 07-08 months. On 16.02.2022, at about 08.15 AM the alleged Sidharth Sharma called her mobile number and told her that he has come to Chandigarh and asked to meet him. On this, at about 11.00 AM she reached Bus Stand Sector-17, Chandigarh, where Sidharth Sharma (alleged) met, and took her inside the subway Sector 22, Chandigarh, where alleged Sidharth Sharma offered her to intoxicated Cold Drink i.e. Coca Cola. On that, she started to feel dizzy and got a little nervous in her hands. Thereafter alleged Sidharth told her that they may go to a Hotel as he has got a room booked in the Hotel Divya Deep Sector 22B, Chandigarh. On reaching there, the alleged disclosed that his name is Vikram Singh resident of Ambala, she asked him that rather his name was Sidharth on Facebook, then he told that Sidharth is Nick Name. During the discussion alleged Vikram Singh @ Sidharth again offered her to intoxicated Cold Drink. On that, she started to feel dizzy and got unconscious. When she regained consciousness, she saw that Vikram Singh @ Sidharth Sharma was not there. She saw that her jewelry i.e. Mobile phone, two gold rings, two gold ear tops as well as cash Rs 10,000/- were not there. Thus, the alleged cheated her with deceit by offering her to intoxicating Cold Drink.
During the investigation accused Robin @ Saurabh S/o Sohan Lal Masih R/o Village-Mandoli, PP-Kalanor, Yamunanagar, Hry Age-26 Yrs has been arrested on the identification of victim from village-Mandoli, Yamunanagar, Haryana, and the case property i.e. Mobile phone, two gold rings, two gold ear tops have been recovered from the possession of accused from his house and same were taken into police possession.
Modus Operandi:-
During interrogation accused Robin @ Saurabh S/o Sohan Lal Masih disclosed that firstly he hatched the criminal conspiracy by preparing a fake/forged Identity i.e. Aadhar card in the name of Vikram Singh & another lady Jyotsana, then he opened a Facebook account on the name of Sidharth Sharma. Thereafter he came in contact with the complainant through Facebook.
The accused Robin @ Saurabh S/o Sohan Lal Masih R/o Village-Mandoli, PP-Kalanor, Yamunanagar, Hry Age-26 Yrs has been produced before the Hon’ble Court and taken into police custody up to 20.02.2022. Further investigation of the said case is going on.
