Chandigarh Police carried out multipronged checking and areas domination programme

Keeping in view of forthcoming Independence Day, Praveer Ranjan, IPS, DGP/UT to lead the entire Chandigarh Police force from the front to carry out this multipronged checking and areas domination programme. He was accompanied by R.K. Singh, IPS, IGP/UT, Kanwardeep Kaur, IPS, SSP/UT, Chandigarh, Mridul, IPS,SP/City and other officials.

During checking all the vulnerable public places with heavy footfall including various places of Chandigarh. During checking, nothing suspicious has been found. However, the RWA members of Market has been briefed that if they find any suspicious bag, tiffin etc, the police be informed, immediately and also advises that if they find any suggestions person roaming in the area, the information be given to police.

The purpose behind conducting this checking was to boost public confidence and increase the presence of the cops to infuse fear among the anti-social elements.
