Three arrested for possessing illicit liquor
Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police arrested Sanjiv Kumar R/o # Village Jhangri, Distt. Mohali (PB) age 37 years and recovered 16 boxes of whiskey along with car No.CH01CG2352 from his possession at t-point, near PP-24, Chandigarh on 19.02.2022. A case FIR No. 19, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Later, he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police arrested Dablu Sharma resident of Village Burail, Chandigarh age 37 years and recovered 300 boxes of whiskey along with Tata 407 No. PB-65X-9150 from his possession near Centra Mall, Ind. Area, Phase-1, Chandigarh on 19.02.2022. A case FIR No. 38, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Ind Area, Chandigarh. Later, he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 26, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Later, he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 21, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Mauli jagran, Chandigarh on the complaint of Dev Kumar R/o # 67/662, Rajiv Colony, Maulijagran, Chandigarh who reported that unknown person stole away battery from complainant’s auto No. HR68B-8389 near Laxmi Narayan Mandir, Maulijagran, Chandigarh from 26.01.2022 to 19.02.2022. Shadur R/o # 422, Village Kajehri, Chandigarh, reported that two unknown persons snatched away complainant’s mobile phone near Main gate of New Light Society, Sector 51, Chandigarh on 19.02.2022. A case FIR No. 39, U/S 279, 304A IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh on the complaint of Constable Abhimanyu of PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh, who alleged that driver of unknown vehicle sped away after hitting to cyclist namely Hari parsad R/o # 322, Colony No. 4, Chandigarh aged 69 years, near ITI light point on 19.02.2022. Cyclist got injured and admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh, where duty doctor declared him brought dead. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Activa rider got injured and admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
