In a major breakthrough the team of Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police under the close guidance of Ketan Bansal, IPS, SP Crime brought the deadly gangster Deepak on production warrant from Central Jail, Amritsar in case FIR No. 247 dated 28.9.2019 U/S 302,307,120B IPC & 25/27/54/59 Arms Act PS-34, Chandigarh, registered regarding the Murder of Sonu Shah.

Apprehension and arrest accused
Deepak who is main shooter of Lawrence Bishnoi gang was arrested by NIA Delhi and wanted to the Chandigarh Police in murder of Sonu Shah as well as murder of two innocent boys, who were killed in Sector 15, Chandigarh. So on 20.4.2023, accused was brought on production warrant from Central Jail, Amritsar and after getting the permission from hon’ble court he was arrested in case FIR No.247 dated 28.9.2019 u/s 302,307,120B IPC & 25/27/54/59 Arms Act PS-34, Chandigarh and his police remand was obtained.
Interrogation
1st murder During remand he disclosed that on the directions of Lawrence Bishnoi and Raju Basodi he alongwith Rajan, Manjit Mota, Subham Bigni, Abhishek @ Banti committed the murder of Sonu Shah.
2nd murder
Raju Basodi told him that Ankit Narwal (friend of Raju Basodi) has enmity with Ashu Nain and has to be killed. Then he along with Ankit Narwal, Kalu, Sheelu and Amit entered into the room in sector 15, Chandigarh, where Ashu Nain resided and opened fire, but Ashu Nain was not present in the room and his two friends were killed.
3rd murder
In July, 2021 he got instruction from Lawrence Bishnoi that Jaggu Bhagwanpuria is his brother and Rana Kandowalia is his enemy and to be killed. So he along with Sonu Dagar, Divanshu and Happy killed Rana Kondowalia in KD Hospital Amritsar.
4th murder
Later on he comes with the contact of Rinda and on his direction, he along with his friend Divanshu murder one Sanjay Biyani in Nanded, Maharashtra.
Rocket Attack
He learnt how to use Rocket launcher through video call from Rinda and on his directions, he along with his friend Divanshu shot a rocket launcher at the Punjab Police Intelligence building, Mohali. After the attack on Punjab Police Intelligence Building he left India and stayed in Nepal. Where he got married with a Nepali girl. All his expenses were borne by Rinda. When he came back to India and was arrested by the NIA. Gangster Deepak also arrested in Case FIR No. 246 dated 19.12.2019 u/s 302, 34 IPC & 25-27-54-59 Arms Act, PS-11, Chandigarh registered regarding the murder of two innocent boys in Sector 15, Chandigarh and send to judicial custody.
