Three arrested for consuming liquor at public place

Chandigarh Police arrested Vijay Kumar R/o Small Flats, Dhanas, Chandigarh (Age-34 years) and Om Parkash R/o Small Flats, Dhanas, Chandigarh (Age-54 years) while they were consuming liquor at a public place and creating nuisance near Small Flats, Dhanas, Chandigarh on 16.08.2023. A case FIR No. 81, U/s 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Later, they were bailed out.
Chandigarh Police arrested Aaditya Shah R/o # 332, Burail, Chandigarh (Age-38 years) while they were consuming liquor at a public place and creating nuisance near Mandi Ground, Sector-45-D, Chandigarh on 16.08.2023. A case FIR No. 130, U/s 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Later, he was bailed out.
One arrested under NDPS Act
Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police arrested Aditya R/o # 2501, Sector-52, Age-19 years and recovered 20 Kg 442 gram poppy husk from his possession near light point, Sector 51/52, Chandigarh on 16.08.2023. A case FIR No. 254, U/S 15 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 45, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women on the complaint of a lady R/o Chandigarh against her husband R/o Kharar, Distt. Mohali (Pb) who harassed the complainant on the pretext of demanding more dowry. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A case FIR No. 46, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women on the complaint of a lady R/o Chandigarh against her husband R/o Baltana, Distt. Mohali (Pb) who harassed the complainant on the pretext of demanding more dowry. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A case FIR No. 47, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women on the complaint of a lady R/o Chandigarh against her husband & others R/o Ambalal Cantt., HR who harassed the complainant on the pretext of demanding more dowry. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Burglary
Dinesh Goyal R/o # 3137, Sector-21-D, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away cash Rs 24 lakh, mobile phone and one cheque book from Plot No. 182/80, Ph-1, Ind. Area, Chandigarh on 16-08-2023. A case FIR No. 96, U/S 380, 454 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Accident
A case FIR No. 136, U/S 279, 304A IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh on the complaint of Shamsher Singh R/o # 3395, Sector-27-D, Chandigarh who reported that driver of unknown vehicle sped away after hitting to Activa Scooter No. CH01CC3873 driven by complainant’s son Har Sharan Singh (Age 21 years) near Airport light point to Hallo Majra Chowk on 22-06-2023. Victim sustained injuries and admitted to GMCH-32, Chandigarh where he expired during treatment. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Superintendent, Model Jail, Chandigarh against Abhishek R/o # 3055, Village-Burail, Chandigarh (Age-24 years) and Shubham Arora R/o # 2937, Sector-47/C, Chandigarh (Age-22 Years). During the search loose tablets, 3 mobile phones and batteries have been recovered from their possession in Barrack No. 8, Burail Jail, Chandigarh on 16-08-2023.
