One arrested under NDPS Act
Chandigarh Police arrested Ravi Kumar R/o # 37, Village Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh, Age 33 years and recovered 2.1 Kg ganja from his possession near Sukhna Choe Bridge, Makhan Majra, Chandigarh on 26.08.2023. A case FIR No. 103, U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
One arrested for theft
Malkit Singh R/o # 1065, Deep Complex, Hallomajra Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s mobile phone from Sabji Mandi, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh on 24-08-2023. Later a person namely Asan R/o Housing Board Colony, Manimajra, Chandigarh was arrested in this case. A case FIR No. 139, U/S 379 IPC added 411 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Accident
A case FIR No. 67, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh on the complaint of Abhishek Kumar R/o # 9, Santoshi Mata Mandir, Swastik Vihar, MDC, Sector-5, Panchkula, HR who alleged that driver of Ertiga car No. T0823HR0597BD hit to Auto No. HR-68B-0614 driven by complainant’s father Shankar Bhagat at Shastri Nagar Light Point, Chandigarh on 26-08-2023. He sustained injuries and was admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh. Alleged person Shanshan R/o Saketri, Distt. Panchkula, HR, Age 35 Years, was arrested and later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A case FIR No. 147, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh on the statement of Dimple Kumar R/o # 535, Dadu Majra Colony, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of HP Bus No. HP-65-3742 hit Activa Scooter No. CH-01AV-2568 at Light Point, Sector 39/40, Chandigarh on 26-08-2023. Activa scooter rider a girl R/o Maloya, Chandigarh sustained injuries and was admitted in PGI, Chandigarh. Alleged person Jai Parkash R/o VPO Naghiar, Distt. Bilaspur, HP, Age 25 Years, was arrested and later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Cheating
A case FIR No. 102 U/s 406, 420, 467, 468, 471, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh on the complaint of Rishi Kumar, Regional Manager, State Bank of India, Sector-5, Panchkula, HR against Abhinash Kumar R/o # 96/1, Village Khudda Jassu and 97 Others who inconvenience with each other under criminal conspiracy had availed personal loan facility under scheme Xpress Credit from State Bank of India, Branch Raipur Kalan, Chandigarh by projecting themselves govt. employees of different departments with the help of fake and fabricated documents between 13.01.2021 to 15.11.2021. They caused a wrongful loss to the complainant Bank to the tune of Rs. 366,03,300/- Investigation of the case is in progress.
