Action against obstruction in public way
A case FIR No. 73, U/S 283 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh against Prem Chander R/o # 2018, Indira Colony, Manimajra, Chandigarh (Age 25 Years) who was obstructing public way by installing rehri/fari at footpath near H.No. 2162, Sector-19, Chandigarh on 29.08.2023. He was arrested and later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
One arrested for possessing illicit liquor
Chandigarh Police arrested Krishan @ Anda R/o # 396, New Indira Colony, Manimajra, Chandigarh (Age-28 years) and recovered 50 quarters of country made liquor near Gill Farm, Shastri Nagar, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 29-08-2023. A case FIR No. 68, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh. Later, he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Action against Gambling/satta
Chandigarh Police arrested Sanjeev Kumar @ Kaka R/o 331, Village Burail, Chandigarh (Age-40 Years) while playing satta and recovered cash Rs. 3800/- from his possession near Sanatan Dharam Mandir, Sector-45, Chandigarh on 29-08-2023. A case FIR No. 137, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. He was later on bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
One arrested for committing theft
Ravi Kumar R/o # 544C, Small Flats, Dhanas, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away one gas cylinder form complainant’s tempo parked in front of Dev Samaj College, Sector-45, Chandigarh on 29.08.2023. Later, one person Satish Kumar R/o # Village Kandala, Distt. Mohali (PB) Age 31 Years was arrested in this case. A case FIR No. 138, U/S 379 added 411 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A girl resident of Zirakpur, PB reported that unknown person stole away one HP laptop, one handbag containing 2 ATM cards, documents & Rs. 500 from his car No. CH-01BM-8046 after broken the right side window pane in front of Hotel Mount View, Sector-10, Chandigarh on 29.08.2023. A case FIR No. 70, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
