Action against illicit liquor
District Crime Cell of Chandigarh Police arrested Bholaram R/o # 1177, EWS Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh (Age-47 Years) at ground in front of Mandi, EWS Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh and recovered 3 boxes containing nips of country made liquor, 4 boxes containing halves of country made liquor, 3 boxes containing bottles of country made liquor, 5 bottles of whisky, 36 nips of whisky from his possession on 14.09.2023. A case FIR No. 92, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Later, he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Chandigarh Police arrested Pardeep Kumar R/o # 805, Ph-1, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh (Age-34 Years) near Govt. Toilet, Ph-2, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh and recovered 12 bottles of country made liquor from his possession on 14.09.2023. A case FIR No. 149, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-31 Chandigarh. Later, he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Chandigarh Police arrested Sandeep Singh R/o VPO Malikpur, Kharar, PB, Age 39 years and Rajinder R/o VPO Panjot, Distt. Hamirpur HP, Age 60 Years near backside road, Market, Sector-38D, Chandigarh and recovered 144 bottles of country made liquor from his Maruti 800 car No. PB65AK1077 on 14.09.2023. A case FIR No. 156, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-39 Chandigarh. Later, both were bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Chandigarh Police arrested Kuldeep R/o # 58, DMC, Chandigarh, Age 32 Years near Open Ground, backside Karan Taxi Stand, Sector-38 West, Chandigarh and recovered 72 quarters of country made liquor from his possession on 14.09.2023. A case FIR No. 108, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-Maloya Chandigarh. Later, he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
One arrested for MV theft
A case FIR No. 93, U/S 411 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh on the complaint of Kapil Kumar R/o # 554, Village Maloya, Chandigarh who alleged that one person namely Ramjan Khan was apprehended by complainant with his stolen Activa Scooter No. CH-01BC-9694 near Bus Stop, Dhanas, Chandigarh on 14.09.2023. Alleged person namely Ramjan Khan R/o Village Jandpur, Kharar, Distt. Mohali PB (Age 24 years) has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Accident
A case FIR No. 105, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sikander Chaudhary R/o Jhuggi near Bita Petrol Pump, Kalagram, Manimajra, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of unknown car sped away after hitting to complainant’s son namely Krishana, Age about 3 years near HP Petrol Pump, MHC, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 12-09-2023. He sustained injuries and was admitted to Civil Hospital, Sector 6, Panchkula, HR. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Quarrel/ Assault
A case FIR No. 148, U/S 325, 506, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh on the complaint of Manoj Gautam R/o # 327, Village Kishangarh, Chandigarh who alleged that his wife and sister-in-law had quarreled and assaulted complainant at H.No. 1070, Village Hallo Majra, Chandigarh on 21.07.2023. Complainant had got injuries and was admitted to GMCH-32, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.
