Cheating
A case FIR No. 165, U/S 420 IPC & 24 Immigration Act has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady resident of Ludhiana, Punjab who alleged that against Gurpreet Singh Randhawa, MD Director, Blue Sapphire Immigration and Educational Consultants Pvt. Ltd., SCO No. 58-59, GF, Sector-34A, Chandigarh wherein she reported that alleged persons cheated Rs. 20,47,810/- regarding providing work visa of Canada to the complainant between 02.03.2019 to 05.12.2020. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A case FIR No. 107, U/s 419, 420, 467, 468, 471, 120B IPC has been registered in PS-Cyber, Chandigarh on the complaint of Navin Gupta R/o # 802/1, Sector-43A, Chandigarh who reported that he received phone call from unknown person who pretended himself from timesgroup.com and further cheated total Rs. 6,45,000/- regarding providing job to the complainant and by giving fake offer/appointment letter through email on 22.06.2023. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A case FIR No. 121, U/S 419, 420, 120B IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh on the complaint of Grish Sachdeva, Principal and Center Superintendent, Modern Ways Model School, Sector-29, Chandigarh wherein reported that Mukesh Kumar R/o Village Rajgarh, Distt. Bhiwani, HR, Age 29 years, was caught while he appeared in Haryana State Group D Examination in place of original candidate Raman Nain on 21.10.2023. Alleged person arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Action against illicit liquor
Chandigarh Police arrested Deepak Chaudhary, Manager, Cowboy Club, SCO No. 57-58, Sector-9/D, Chandigarh, (Age 27 Years) who served liquor without permission and 1 quarter & two glass tumbler of liquor were recovered on the spot on 21.10.2023. A case FIR No. 86, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Later, he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Chandigarh Police arrested Sajjan R/o Jhuggi No. 23, New Indira Colony, Chandigarh, (Age 27 Years) and recovered 50 quarters of country liquor from his possession backside public toilet near Railway Line NIC Manimajra, Chandigarh on 21.10.2023. A case FIR No. 84, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh. Later, he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Dowry
A case FIR No. 60, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady R/o Sector 21, Chandigarh against her husband R/o Bathinda, Punjab who harassed complainant on the pretext of demanding more dowry. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A case FIR No. 61, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady R/o Sector 22, Chandigarh against her husband R/o Manimajra, Chandigarh who harassed complainant on the pretext of demanding more dowry. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A case FIR No. 62, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady R/o Sector 45, Chandigarh against her husband R/o Zirakpur, PB who harassed complainant on the pretext of demanding more dowry. Investigation of the case is in progress.
