One apprehended for using fake registration number
Crime branch of Chandigarh police apprehended a juvenile (age 17 years) for applying fake No. PB10CG-5448 on stolen splendor motorcycle near turn Govt. High School, Sector 52, Chandigarh on 23.03.2022. The original number of motorcycle is PB10GG5443 which was stolen from Balongi (PB). A case FIR No. 58, U/S 473, 411 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Juvenile was sent to juvenile home. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Two apprehended for MV Theft
Jasbir Singh R/o # 3231, SF, Maloya Colony, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Activa Scooter No CH-01BA-9950 parked near Power House Sector-17, Chandigarh on 20.01.2022. A case FIR No. 62, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh. Later a juvenile (age 16 years) was apprehended by the crime branch and sent to juvenile home. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Fateh Singh R/o # 111/J, Village Dadumajra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Honda Neo M/cycle No. CH-01AX-1796 while parked near complainant’s house on 15.03.2022. A case FIR No. 30, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Later one juvenile (age 17 years) was apprehended by the crime branch and sent to juvenile home. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Environment Protection act
A case FIR No. 38, U/S 15 Environment Protection Act 1986 has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh on the complaint of Harwinder Singh, Sanitary Inspector, MOH, Chandigarh who reported that Sohan Lal R/o # 2518, Lalru Mandi, Mohali (aged 53 years) was caught during joint raid conducted by CPCC, MC under SDM (East) and recovered 680 Kg and 300 grams of banned plastic items from his possession at plot No. 650, Phase-2, Ind. Area on 23.03.2022. Alleged person has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Mohali (PB) reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Splendor Motorcycle No. PB-27E-3723 while parked near dividing road, Sector 2/11, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 35, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Anil Kumar R/o # 71, Bank Colony, Maninajra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Accent car No. CH-04V-0866 while parked near Shivalik Park, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 10/11.03.2022. A case FIR No. 49, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Manimajra, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 50, U/S 420, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sukhwinder Singh R/o # 1272, Village Burail, Chandigarh against unknown person who called to complainant mobile phone and offered Bajaj Finance Credit Card. Alleged person sent a link on his whatsapp for applying for a credit card and withdrawn Rs. 72,101/- from the complainant’s account on 08.01.2022. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Accident
A case FIR No. 29, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh on the complaint of Varendera Nath Maty R/o # 429, Victoria Enclave, Pabhat Road, Zirakpur (PB) who reported that unknown driver of car sped away after hitting to complainant’s Activa Scooter No. CH-01BC-5933 at light point, Sector 18/19, Chandigarh on 18.03.2022. He got injured and was admitted to GH-16, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
