Cheating
A case FIR No. 168, U/S 406, 420 IPC & 24 Immigration Act has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of Kishan Singh R/o # 2554 Sector-49C, Chandigarh and others against Owner/ Proprietor of Sparx Overseas, SCO No. 85-86, 3rd floor, Sector-34A, Chandigarh wherein reported that alleged persons cheated Rs. 22.80 lakh from complainant’s regarding providing work visa of Singapore and Dubai in September 2021. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Three persons arrested for consuming liquor at public place
Chandigarh Police arrested Manpreet Singh R/o Village Motemajra, Distt. Mohali PB, Vijay R/o Village Burail, Chandigarh and Naveen R/o # 1333/1 Sector-19 Panchkula, HR while they were consuming liquor and created nuisance near Maharashtra Bhawan, Sector-19, Chandigarh on 23.10.2023. A case FIR No. 91, U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Later, they were bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Dowry
A case FIR No. 64, U/S 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady resident of Sector 41, Chandigarh against her husband resident of Zirakpur, Distt. Mohali, PB who harassed the complainant on the pretext of demanding more dowry. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A case FIR No. 65, U/S 406, 498-A IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady resident of BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh against her husband resident of Paschim Vihar, West Delhi who harassed complainant on the pretext of demanding more dowry. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Accident
A case FIR No. 169, U/S 279, 337, 304A IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of Dharmender Kumar R/o # 1273, Sector-34C, Chandigarh who reported Motor Cycle No. CH-01BL-6387 rider namely Satinder Singh R/o # 168, Gobind Vihar, Kansal, Dsitt. Mohali PB hit complainant’s wife namely Khusboo (pedestrian) at dividing road, Sector 33/34, Chandigarh on 23.10.2023. Lady namely Khusboo, Age 34 years sustained injuries and was lifted to GMCH-32, Chandigarh where she expired during the treatment. Investigation of the case is in progress.
