Action against violation of orders of DM, UT, Chandigarh
A case FIR No. 143 U/S 188 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh against Ramesh Kumar owner of Hotel-52, Heights, Village-Kajheri, Chandigarh who did not maintained customer entries in hotel register and violated the order of Chandigarh Administration on 06-08-2022. He was arrested and later on bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
One arrested under NDPS Act
District Crime Cell of Chandigarh Police arrested Happy R/o # 517, Mahadev Colony, Surajpur, Kalka, HR (age-34 years) and recovered 1.100 kg of charas from his possession near Veterinary Hospital, Kishangarh, Chandigarh on 06-08-202. A case FIR No. 50, U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
District Crime Cell of Chandigarh Police arrested Mohd Azad R/o # 532, near Atta Chakki, Village Kajheri (age-30 years) and recovered 665 gm charas from his possession near T-point, Sector-45 C&D, Chandigarh on 06-08-202. A case FIR No. 128, U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Action against illicit liquor
Chandigarh Police arrested a lady resident of Sector 56, Chandigarh (Age-33 years) and recovered 48 quarters of country made liquor from her possession near H.No. 6601, Sector 56, Chandigarh on 06.08.2022. A case FIR No. 118, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. She was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Accident
A case FIR No. 45, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh on the statement of Suresh Kumar R/o # 213, Khudda Lohra, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of Alto car No. CH-03X-7826 hit to a Motor Cycle No. PB-27H-1262 near IRB turn near Mullanpur Barrier, Chandigarh on 05-08-2022. Motorcycle driver namely Rajesh Kumar R/o Jaynti Majra Distt-Mohali (PB) got injured and admitted to PGI, Chandigarh where he expired during treatment. Alleged person namely Yogesh R/o # 227, Village-Kaimbwala, Chandigarh arrested and later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A case FIR No. 140, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh on the complaint of Ranjit Ram R/o # 123, Tribune Colony, Baltana, Zirakpur, Mohali (PB) who alleged that driver of Truck No. HR-68A-1581 hit to complainant’s Activa Scooter No. PB-65AH-5972 near VTC Yard, Village Daria, Chandigarh on 06-08-2022. Complainant and pillion rider (complainant’s daughter-in-law) both got injured and admitted in GMCH-32. Alleged person namely Pankaj Kumar R/o VPO Tanarwa, Distt-Siwan, Bihar (Age 24 Years) arrested and later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Cheating
A lady resident of Chandigarh alleged that Tushar Sharma R/o # 804, Sector-32, Chandigarh approached complainant through OLX to buy complainant’s Innova car No. HR-26BR-2934 on 22.07.2022. After negotiation the price was settled for Rs. 4,17,000/-. Alleged person taken away the car by giving the cheque which got bounced later. A case FIR No. 81, U/S 406, 420 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A case FIR No. 82, U/S 420 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh on the complaint of Deepak Singh, Joint Registrar, Punjab & Haryana High Court, Sector-1, Chandigarh against vendor M.S Fountain Stationers, 52 Wipata House Bomanji Lane Mumbai who delivered counterfeit toner cartridges of HP Company instead of original against the quotation dated 03.02.2019. Assault
Sahil R/o # 2504, Sector-25, Chandigarh alleged that Deepak, Vipin & Rajesh stopped complainant near # 2253, Sector 25, Chandigarh and assaulted him with knife on 05.08.2022. A case FIR No. 92, U/S 323, 324, 341, 506, 34 IPC & added 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Later alleged persons Deepak (age 21 years) and Vipin (age 20 years) both R/o # 2229, Sector-25, Chandigarh have been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Theft
Dr. Shiraz Akif Mohd, SR reported that unknown person stole away one bag containing laptop, I-Pad, Hard Disk and Mac Book from AUC Seminar Room, PGI, Chandigarh on 06.08.2022. A case FIR No. 93, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Snatching
A case FIR No. 97, U/S 379A, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady resident of Sector 38(West) who reported that two unknown person on motor cycle sped away after snatching complainant’s gold chain near Vita Booth, Housing Board Society, Sector 38(west), Chandigarh on 06.08.2022.
