One arrested for consuming liquor at public place
Chandigarh Police arrested Arvind Kumar R/o # 19/2, Harmilap Nagar, Baltana, Zirakpur, Distt. Mohali (PB), Age 37 Years while he was consuming liquor near Truck Parking, Colony No. 4 Light Point, Chandigarh on 21-09-2022. A case FIR No. 170, U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. He was later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
One arrested under Arms act
District Crime Cell of Chandigarh Police arrested Munna R/o # 1387, Kajheri, Sector-52, Chandigarh (Age-20 years) and recovered two country made pistol and 02 live cartridges from his possession near Service Station, Kajheri, Sector-52, Chandigarh on 21.09.2022. A case FIR No. 238, U/S 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
One arrested in theft case
Suraj R/o # 2613/3, EWS Colony, Maloya, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away cycle from near Plot No. 117, Ph. 2, Ind. Area, Chandigarh on 15.09.2022. Later a person namely Karanjit Singh R/o # 409, Ph-1, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh (Age 30 Years) was arrested in this case. A case FIR No. 149, U/S 379, 411 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
One apprehended in theft case
Rohit Garg, S.D.E. H-3, MC, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away 5 steel tree guards from Sector 25, Chandigarh on 20.09.2022. Later a juvenile aged about 17 years was apprehended in this case and sent to juvenile home. A case FIR No. 129, U/S 379, 411 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 44, U/S 419, 420, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-Cyber Crime, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady resident of Sector-43/B, Chandigarh who reported that unknown person cheated Rs. 4,43,529/- from her account regarding submitting the electricity bill. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A case FIR No. 153, U/S 181, 417, 420, 467, 468, 471, 120B IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh on the complaint of Kewal Krishan R/o # 3479, Sector-46-C, Chandigarh who reported that on 11.10.2021 police officials from PS-Mataur informed complainant that accident occurred at light point Sector 70/71, Chandigarh by vehicle No. CH-01BW-9615 which is registered in the name of Amninder Singh Brar R/o # 219B, Block No. 17, Sector 63, Chandigarh. The said address of the complainant is used by the alleged person for registration of vehicle with fake documents. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A case FIR No. 239, U/S 406, 420 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh on the complaint of JPS Walia R/o # 217, Sector-45A, Chandigarh who alleged that Jaspal Singh Dhillon R/o 901, Industrial Plot 8 Marla, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh cheated Rs. 2.5 lakh regarding sale of his Vento car on 25.10.2018. But the alleged person did not hand over the car and nor returned the money. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 97, U/S 323, 427, 341, 365, 511, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh on the complaint of Jagandeep Singh R/o Room No. 27, New Bar Complex, High Court, Chandigarh who alleged that Ishar Singh, Ranjodh Singh, Sada Singh and Amritpal Singh both R/o Village Chhapian Wali, Distt. Muktsar Sahib (PB) hit on windshield of complainant’s Baleno car No. CH-01CF-2627 and attacked on complainant’s client near High Court Parking, Chandigarh on 21.09.2022. Alleged persons Ishar Singh, Amritpal Singh and Ranjodh Singh have been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A case FIR No. 154, U/S 147, 148, 149, 325, 506, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh on the complaint of Amit Kumar R/o # 862/8, Raj Nagar Colony, Jind (HR) who alleged that Aman, Joginder and others assaulted complainant at # 1934, Sector-22-B, Chandigarh on 19.04.2022.
