Chandigarh Police has achieved a major successes by worked out a blind robbery case committed in kitchen garden nursery sector 23 on the intervening night of 29/30.08.2022 by arresting 3 accused including the complainant namely Santosh Kumar and his accomplised Ranjeet and Sonu Verma.
THE INCIDENT:-
On Dated 30.08.2022 complainant Santosh Kumar S/o Ram Kumar R/o #499 Gobind Nagar NayaGaon Mohali, Pb. Age 20 years, got recorded his statement that at about 11.30 pm he was on security guard duty at The Chandigarh CO-Operative Society Sector 23 A Chandigarh i.e. Kitchen Garden Nursery, meanwhile, two unknown persons came there with covered faces with black cloth and snatched his mobile phone by putting a knife on his neck and made the hostage to the complainant and further broken the locks of Almirah & cash Counter of Kitchen Garden Nursery and took cash Rs. 19000/- and two mobiles placed in the almirah. They also snatched his mobile phone and sped away from the spot. A case FIR No. 148 Dated 30.08.2022 U/S- 392/34 IPC was registered at PS 17 in this regard.
Looking at the sensitivity of the case, a team headed by Insp Omprakash, SHO PS-17 was constituted, comprising SI Surinder Kumar I/C PP -22, ASI Bijender Singh, HC Virender Kumar, HC Lal Bahadur, Sr. Anil Kumar, Sr. C Vipin Kumar, Sr. C Satypal, C Vikrant, C Rajjak Ram in the close supervision of Sh. Gurmukh Singh SDPO/Central Chandigarh.
It was totally a blind case and there was no clue at all about the culprits because the culprits have muffled their faces and concealed their identities. The team checked CCTV Cameras footage, installed nearby at the place of occurrence and roads leading to the different sides and also gathered local intelligence. Technical surveillance was also mounted and human intelligence was put on the motion.
On the basis of above said efforts accused Ranjeet Kumar S/o Dharmender Kumar @ Papu Kumar R/o Village-KasiyahiPunnpur, Sultanpur, District- Amethi, UP Age-20 Year has been arrested and interrogated. During interrogation, he confessed that he along with Santosh who is the complainant in the present case and Sonuhatched this criminal conspiracy and planning and further committed the crime as planned.
During further investigation accused (complainant) Santosh Kumar S/o Ram Kumar R/o #499 Gobind Nagar Naya Gaon Mohali, Pb. Age 20 Yrs has been arrested. Accused Santosh Kumar disclosed that the 3rd accomplished Sonu went to Rohtak after committing the crime as he is working as a gardener at Rohtak. Further, a team was dispatched to Rohtak to arrest him and the team succeeded to arrest him.
With the arrest of all accused, Three Mobile Phones, a Weapon used in the crime and a Darrathave were recovered and taken into police possession. They have spent the money by distributing themselves.
From the interrogation of the accused, it is revealed that there was a debt of 25000Rs on Santosh Kumar as he had solemnized the marriage of his brother a few days ago. Further other two accused are also habitual of drinking and enjoying parties for which they need money and committed the crime to fulfil the same.
PROFILE OF ACCUSED SANTOSH KUMAR
Santosh Kumar S/o Ram Kumar R/o #499 Gobind Nagar NayaGaon Mohali, Pb. Age 20 Yrs is passed 10th Class from Amethi UP and he works as Gardener and Security Guard in kitchen Garden Nursery Sector- 23 Chandigarh. He planned to commit the crime with his friends namely Ranjeet and Sonu. He is the mastermind of this robbery.
PROFILE OF ACCUSED RANJIT KUMAR
Ranjit Kumar S/o Dharminder Kumar @ Pappu Kumar R/o Village Kasiyahi Purnpur, Sultanpur Distt Amethi UP Age 20 Yrs, Present Address- Kamlesh’s House Near Arra Machine Colony Singha Devi Village Nada Distt Mohali PB Age 20 Yrs. He has studied up to 10thclass from Amethi UP. He works as Gardener Near farm Village Nada Distt Mohali PB. He is a habitual drinker and wanted to spend his life luxuriously and thus committed this offence.
PROFILE OF ACCUSED SONU VERMA
SonuVerma S/o Ram Bali r/o C/o Vivek S/o Ravi, Kabir Colony Sector 5 Rohtak Age 20 Yrs and Permanent address- NewadaKanooDisttAmethi UP. He studied up to 8th Class from his local school from Amethi UP. He works as Gardener in the nursery at Rohtak HR. He committed this offence for earning easy money without hard work. The investigation of the case is in progress.
