Chandigarh Police Thwart Gang Attack, Arrest 3 Suspects Planning to Eliminate Rival During Court Appearance

In a major breakthrough, Crime Branch Chandigarh Police got a major success while acting against notorious and wanted criminal in tri-city and arrested three shooters of Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar’s gang in a joint operation with Delhi Police Counter Intelligence Special Cell. A team of Crime Branch on the direction of Ketan Bansal, IPS, SP/Crime and close guidance of DSP Crime Udaypal Singh and under the supervision of Inspector Ashok Kumar nabbed three shooters namely Sunny, Umang and Kailash Chauhan @ Tiger who have plan to eliminate the gangster Bhuppi Rana in the uniform/dress of Advocate at the time of his appearance in District Court. For this they have bought two Advocate dress (one for male and one for female) from Elante Mall. They have done recci of District Court Panchkula, Mohali and Chandigarh. With their arrest one Pistol alongwith 1 live cartridge was recovered from the possession of Sunny, 3 live cartridges were recovered from the possession of Umang and 1 pistol alongwith 2 live cartridges were recovered from the possession of Kailash Chauhan @ Tiger.
On 26.2.2024 SI Neeraj Kumar, 1067/CHG along with police party was on patrolling duty near Lake Sector 42, Chandigarh in the area of PS-36, Chandigarh. A secret information has been received that two persons with illegal weapon are roaming in the area of Sector 43 near District Court on white colour Activa and doing recci of District Court as they have planned to eliminate a gangster, who will appear in the court for hearing. Acting upon this information, both Sunny @ Sachin @ Maddy Manchanda and Umang were apprehended from near District Court Sector 43, Chandigarh alongwith white colour Activa. During their personal search 1 Pistol alongwith 1 live cartridge was recovered from the possession of Sunny and Advocate dress that he bought from Elante Mall has also been recovered from Sunny and 3 live cartridges were recovered from the possession of Umang. They could not produce any license/permit and case FIR No. 29 dated 26.2.2024 u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh and they were arrested in this case.
During investigation on the identification/disclosure of Sunny and Umand one of their associate Kailash Chauhan @ Tiger was arrested from near District Court Sector 43, Chandigarh and 1 pistol alongwith 2 live cartridges were recovered from his possession. On their interrogation it came to light that they are active member of Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar’s gang and got directions from Goldy Brar to eliminate gangster Bhuppi Rana in the premises of District Court in the uniform of Advocate at the time of his appearance in the court.

- Sunny @ Sachin @ Maddy Manchanda s/o Sh. Rakesh manchanda r/o # 642/16, Quilla Mohlla, Rohtak. Haryana. Aged 27 Years.
- Umang S/o Tilak Raj r/o # 1234/5, Peerji Mohlla, Near Shori Market, Rohtak. Aged 25 years.
- Kailash Chauhan @ Tiger S/o Sh. Ishwar Singh R/o Vill. Bhupani Sector 89, Greater Faridabad, Haryana. Aged 23 years.

Modus Operandi:-
Goldi Barar along with Lawrence Bishnoi is running a nexus of extorting money from businessman by recruiting the needy persons in their gang by alluring them by providing money, clothes, hideouts & settling them abroad. They used to recruit them through Instagram and use different applications like Signal to contact them. They used to send them the picture of target and provide them weapons just before the shoot out and their priority is to take back the weapons right after shoot out. They threat the target over phone and after that these shooters came in action. They are targeting their rival gangsters also, to become more influential.
These 3 shooters came to Chandigarh to eliminate another rival gangster Bhuppi Rana during his appearance in the court. They have been provided transportation, shelter, money and weapons by two/three different persons on the direction of Vicky Chauhan, associate of Goldy Brar. In the September month Tiger and Sunny came to Chandigarh on the direction of Goldy Brar to eliminate someone in Sector-7, Chandigarh, at that time Sukha of Derabassi and Gilly Rana of Yamuna Nagar help them in transportation and providing weapons. At that time their pistol got stuck due to which they could not fire and escaped from the place. Goldi Barar has been declared terrorist and expanding his group in name of Lawrence Bishnoi by recruiting the needy youngsters with different allurements.
Accused Sunny, Umang and Kailash Chauhan @ Tiger were produced before the Hon’ble District Court and police remand was obtained to nab all other persons who had help them in providing shelters, money, weapons to them and arrest a lady namely Pooja one of their associate, who also did recci with them for eliminating Bhupi Rana.
