Chandigarh Secures 2nd Rank in Swachh Survekshan 2025 Under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan

In a moment of immense pride for the City Beautiful, Chandigarh has been awarded the 2nd position in the Swachh Survekshan rankings under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, a flagship initiative of the Government of India.
The prestigious award was presented at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi by the Hon’ble President of India, in the presence of esteemed dignitaries. Mayor Harpreet Kaur Babla, along with Punjab Governor and UT Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria, received the honour on behalf of the city.
This national recognition reflects Chandigarh’s consistent efforts towards cleanliness, sanitation, and sustainable urban development. The award is a testament to the effective collaboration between the administration, municipal bodies, and the active participation of its responsible citizens.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Harpreet Kaur Babla expressed gratitude to the people of Chandigarh and reaffirmed the city’s commitment to achieving the top spot in future surveys.
