Chandigarh Traffic Police launched New Portable Night Speed Radar and Driving Simulator Machine

Chandigarh Traffic Police launched New Portable Night Speed Radar and Driving Simulator Machine for four-wheelers & two-wheeler along with special stickers for differently-abled persons driving motor vehicles. Manisha Chaudhary IPS, SSP Security & Traffic graced the occasion and inaugurated this event. Harjit Kaur DSP Traffic South Division, Jaswinder Singh DSP Traffic R&D, Gurjit Kaur DSP Traffic Central, Insp. Surinder, Insp Parvesh Sharma of Traffic Wing along with Baldev Narang President of Lions Club Chandigarh Greater & Leo Club Chandigarh Fortune, Nitin Gulati CEO of MG Chandigarh Krishna Motor Garage with their team participated in this event who are actively participating in various road safety drives of Chandigarh Traffic Police.
With the help of portable Night Speed Radars guns, the mince of speeding during late evening and night hours by the motor vehicle drivers will be curbed and will help in reducing road crashes and thus saving precious human lives.
Special stickers for Differently abled persons will be affixed upon the front & rear windscreen of their motor vehicles with the aim that the vehicle driven by differently-abled persons are easily identifiable to the other road users for keeping the safety of such drivers and not to Honk or overtake in a haphazard manner which may cause panic to such drivers leading to a road crash. Due care and respect be given to differently-abled drivers by all other motor vehicle drivers.
Two Simulator driving machines comprising four-wheeler driving and two-wheeler driving are also introduced for imparting driving skills to the motor vehicle drivers in CTP and to make them aware of the common mistakes committed by the drivers such as not giving proper and timely signals on turning, not following the traffic signs & road markings, invalid parking, speeding etc. With the help of these simulators, training will be given to motor vehicle drivers on various driving modules for enhancing their driving skills and for driving safely and following traffic rules on roads. The mistakes committed by this driver while driving are reflected on the screen as well as through audio mode also. Further, test results of the same will be generated which will act as guidance for every participant undergoing the driving test on these simulators during Refresher Training Module in CTP.
Baldev Narang, President of Lions Club Chandigarh Greater and Ryan Sharma from Leo Club Chandigarh Fortune, Nitin Gulati CEO of MG Chandigarh Krishna Motor Garage were also honoured with the mementoes and certificates for their active participation in the road safety awareness drives conducted by Chandigarh Traffic Police.
Chandigarh Traffic Police is making a continuous endeavour to aware the road users of road safety and to make the roads safe for road users through its various road safety awareness programs.
