Chandigarh, September 8, 2025: Sehar Nayar, a rising squash star from Chandigarh Club Squash Academy and a student of Vivek High School, has brought laurels to the city by winning the most prestigious international squash championship in India — the 6-Star Platinum Indian Junior Open.

The tournament, held in Jaipur from September 1–6, 2025, witnessed participation from over 400 players representing 10 countries. Competing in the Girls Under-17 category, Sehar entered the championship as the 4th seed but displayed exceptional skill, determination, and composure to emerge as the champion.

Sehar’s victory comes on the back of her recent triumph at the All India Matunga Gymkhana Club Squash Championship in the same category, further cementing her position as one of India’s brightest young talents.

Adding to her achievements, Sehar has already represented India four times on the international stage. Notably, she made history in 2024 by becoming the youngest girl to represent India at the World Championship held in the USA.

Speaking about her success, her coaches credited her hard work, consistent training, and strong motivation to conquer the Platinum event, making this victory another feather in her illustrious cap.
