Croatia’s flag carrier presents its 2023/2024 winter flight timetable

Aware of the needs of its passengers, of the necessity of supporting the further development of Croatia’s tourism product, and of developing Croatia’s transport infrastructure, in line with its fleet availability and expansion plans, Croatia’s flag carrier, Croatia Airlines, has presented its winter flight timetable, which will apply in the period between 29th October 2023 and 30th March 2024.

Croatia Airlines plans to increase the number of flights it operates by 11.8 percent, and the number of seats it offers by 13.6 percent. Croatia Airlines’ aircraft will spend 12,353 hours in the air, during which 9,474 flights will be operated, on which a total of 970,644 seats will be offered.

In short, in its 2023/2024 winter flight timetable, Croatia’s flag carrier is introducing new international routes, is extending the operation of flights into the winter on a number of its seasonal routes, and is increasing the total number of flights and seats it offers compared to last year’s winter period.

By operating flights on a total of 23 international routes, Croatia’s flag carrier will be connecting Croatia’s 7 airports with 13 international destinations, and will fulfil its obligation to connect Croatia within its borders by operating flights on domestic routes from Zagreb to Split, Dubrovnik, Pula, and Zadar, and by operating flights between Pula and Zadar.

The operation of direct international flights between Zadar and Munich is a novelty. On this route, flights will be operated twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

To connect the east of Croatia with the rest of the world, on the now year-round Osijek-Munich route, flights will be operated throughout the entire winter period twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays.

With a view to meeting the current market demand for flights, Croatia Airlines will extend the operation of flights into the winter on the following seasonal routes:

Split-Copenhagen once a week on Saturdays; Split-London Heathrow once a week on Saturdays; Dubrovnik-Frankfurt three times a week on Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday afternoon, with the option of adjusting the flight timetable according to the needs of the market; and Zagreb-Mostar three times a week.

As in last year’s winter flight timetable, Croatia Airlines is also extending the operation of flights into the winter on the following seasonal routes: Split-Zurich on Wednesdays and Saturdays throughout the entire winter; Rijeka-Munich on Thursdays and Sundays throughout the entire winter; and Pula-Zurich on Wednesdays and Saturdays throughout the entire winter.

This year’s winter flight timetable has also been guided by the fact that Croatia Airlines is in the process of replacing its fleet, during which Croatia’s flag carrier will at all times try to respond to the needs of the market and its passengers, while promptly informing the public about any change that may occur in its flight timetable.

Driven by the positive business results it achieved in the first six months of this year, as well as by the current increase in the figures spurred additionally by the tourist season, Croatia Airlines remains an important pillar of Croatia’s tourism industry and economy.
