Cyber cell celebrated Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav at Sukhna Lake creating cyber awareness in the presence of Praveer Ranjan, DGP Chandigarh, Deepak Purohit DIG/Chd and Ketan Bansal, SP CCIC.
The citizens were made aware of the latest cybercrime trends of Online Job Fraud, Sextortion, Fake WhatsApp calls from abroad, KYC frauds, phishing scams and cyber reporting helpline 1930 and 112 through Nukkad Natak performed by the National School of Drama. Also the rewire songs presentation on cybercrime frauds by students from Punjab University. SI Bhupinder presented a song on financial frauds composed by himself. The Quiz contest, Distribution of information handouts and Stickers were done
to help citizens understand the importance of cyber hygiene.
The cyber awareness Van will be moving into the city and creating awareness through Movies, and songs. Also, a cyber awareness event was organised at Dhanas Community centre by local Police with the help of cyber volunteers. The cyber Interns presented Nukkad Natak explaining citizens’ various cyber laws and cyber crime trends.
Incoming days the cyber awareness events will be held at various locations in City Beautiful.
The National Cybercrime Coordination Centre of the Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Culture is celebrating 75 years of Independence by conducting cyber awareness events across 75 locations in India From 8th June to 20th June. Cyber crimes se Azadi is the main Motto of these programmes.
