Devendra Fadnavis has sworn in as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra for the third time. The oath-taking ceremony was held in Mumbai, where several prominent leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and other close allies gathered to welcome the new government.

Fadnavis’s Political Journey: From First Term to Third

Devendra Fadnavis has a long-standing political career, having served as Maharashtra’s Chief Minister twice before. His first tenure was from 2014 to 2019, during which he led the state with a clear mandate for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). However, in 2019, after Maharashtra’s assembly elections, Fadnavis briefly returned to office for a second term. Despite initial optimism, his government was short-lived, and he was forced to step down when a new coalition government, known as the Mahavikas Aghadi (MVA), led by Shiv Sena, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), and Congress, came to power.
