Dr. RAM SAMUJH BESTOWED WITH THE PRESTIGIOUS FAMS FELLOWSHIP OF NATIONAL ACADEMY OF MEDICAL SCIENCES

The 63rd Annual NAMS Conference NAMSCON-2023, hosted by Ramaiah Medical College, a constituent college of Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, was held recently in Bengaluru. The conference covered a wide range of important health domains including digital health innovations, health and professional education challenges, non-communicable diseases, infectious disease surveillance, dental materials and innovations, novel drug delivery systems, rehabilitations, and advances in healthcare.
In addition to the conference, pre-conference workshops were offered that were designed to enhance the skills of healthcare professionals. These workshops covered areas such as robotic surgery, grant writing, cadaver-based surgical training, and transplantation sciences.
During the conference, The National Academy of Medical Sciences (India) awarded a medical fellowship to Prof. Dr Ram Samujh. He was awarded a Fellowship for his dedicated, selfless, and distinguished services to humanity during his 38 years of service at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh by Honourable Chief Guest Thawar Chand Gehlot (Governor of Karnataka) and esteemed guests of honour Dr. Jitendra Singh (Minister of State for Science and Technology) and Prof. S.P. Singh Bagel (Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare).
A total of 60 Fellowships were awarded to distinguished Doctors and Scientists from all over India out of which 7 senior doctors were from PGIMER, Chandigarh.
