Enforcement Directorate (ED) raids the house and office of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Kulwant Singh in Mohali
Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided the house and office of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Kulwant Singh in Mohali, Punjab. The raids were conducted in connection with the investigation into the alleged liquor scam in Delhi and Punjab.
The ED team has seized many documents from Kulwant Singh’s house and office. Sources say that during the raid, documents related to the liquor business of Kulwant Singh have been found.
Kulwant Singh has described the raid as political vendetta. He said he would answer ED’s questions and was not involved in any wrongdoing.
Kulwant Singh is AAP MLA from Mohali. He became MLA by winning the 2022 Punjab Assembly elections.
The raid is a major action in the investigation into the alleged liquor scam in Delhi and Punjab. Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has also been arrested in this scam.
Apart from Kulwant Singh, ED has also raided the houses and offices of many other people of Punjab. These include liquor traders, government officials and political leaders.
Political turmoil has increased in Punjab due to ED raid. AAP and Congress have described the raid as political vendetta.
