Fraudulent Immigration Scams: Two FIRs Registered in Chandigarh for Cheating Victims of Rs. 1.10 Lakh and Rs. 3 Lakh

In two separate cases of alleged immigration fraud, police in Chandigarh have registered FIRs against individuals accused of cheating people by promising to send them abroad for a fee but failing to deliver on their promises.

  1. Case 1: Rs. 1.10 Lakh Fraud
    A First Information Report (FIR) under multiple sections, including criminal breach of trust, forgery, and immigration fraud, has been lodged in Police Station Sector 17, Chandigarh, on the complaint of Satish Kumar, a resident of Village Telipura, District Yamuna Nagar, Haryana. The accused, Raman Singh, owner of Immigration Professional, located at SCO No 2935-2936, Sector 22/C, Chandigarh, is alleged to have taken Rs. 1.10 lakh from the complainant with the promise of sending him abroad, but failed to do so. The investigation into this case is currently underway.
  2. Case 2: Rs. 3 Lakh Fraud
    In another case, an FIR was registered in Police Station Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh, following a complaint by Afzal, a resident of Mauli Jagran. The complainant has accused Mohammad Yamin, a resident of #3677, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh, of cheating him of Rs. 3 lakh under the pretext of facilitating his travel abroad. Similar charges of forgery and criminal conspiracy have been invoked, and the investigation is also in progress.

Both cases involve allegations of fraudulent immigration services where the accused individuals are said to have promised to send the victims abroad for a fee but failed to fulfill their commitments. The police are currently investigating both incidents, with further legal action pending.

Authorities are urging people to be cautious when dealing with immigration agents and to report any suspicious activities to law enforcement.
