IndiGo, India’s preferred airline, wrapped up 2025 as a defining year in its transformation into a global aviation player, marked by long-haul launches, network expansion and strong passenger growth. The airline expects to close the year with over 123 million customers, reinforcing its position among the Top 10 airlines globally.

A major highlight of the year was IndiGo’s entry into long-haul operations, with non-stop flights connecting India to Manchester, Amsterdam, Copenhagen and London, supported by Boeing 787-9 aircraft inducted in partnership with Norse Atlantic Airways. The airline added 10 new international destinations and 30 international routes, significantly strengthening India–Europe connectivity. Complimentary hot meals on select long-haul flights reflected an evolving onboard experience.

On the domestic front, IndiGo deepened regional connectivity by commencing operations at Navi Mumbai International Airport and launching services to emerging centres such as Purnea, Rewa, Hindon, Adampur, Kishangarh and Bikaner. By year-end, IndiGo’s network expanded to 139 destinations, including 97 domestic and 42 international points.

IndiGo also reinforced its future growth strategy by doubling its Airbus A350-900 order to 60 aircraft, expanding its dual-class IndiGoStretch product, and growing its BluChip loyalty programme to over 9 million members.

Despite facing industry-wide challenges, including a brief operational disruption in December, the airline restored normal operations swiftly and continues to strengthen resilience and processes. IndiGo maintained industry-leading on-time performance for most of the year while operating over 2,200 daily flights.

Looking ahead, IndiGo will induct India’s first Airbus A321XLR and launch non-stop flights to Athens from January 2026, further accelerating its international ambitions. With a sharper focus on scale, reliability and customer experience, IndiGo enters the new year poised for its next chapter of global growth.
