Governor Gulab Chand Kataria participates in Sukhmani Sahib Path & Shabad Kirtan at Raj Bhavan for the ‘Chardikala’ of Flood-affected People
Appreciates efforts being made for mitigating the lot of flood ravaged populace

A soulful Sukhmani Sahib Path and Shabad Kirtan was organised at the Guru Nanak Dev Auditorium, Punjab Raj Bhavan, Chandigarh, for the Charhdikala of flood-affected people. The event was jointly held by the Raj Bhavan Employees’ Cultural & Sports Association, Punjab, Chandigarh, in association with Gurudwara Patshahi Dasvin, Sector 8, Chandigarh.
Gulab Chand Kataria, Hon’ble Governor of Punjab and Administrator, U.T. Chandigarh, graced the occasion and joined the congregation in prayers.
Addressing the gathering, the Governor said that collective prayers and community service strengthen the spirit of Charhdi Kala (resilience and positivity) in times of crisis. He lauded the noble efforts being made for the welfare of the people ravaged by recent floods in Punjab.
The Raagi Jatha from Gurudwara Sahib, Sector 8, Chandigarh, rendered melodious Shabad Kirtan. The Ardas was performed by Raagi Singh Baba Sukha Singh, seeking divine blessings for the well-being of flood-affected families.
The program was followed by langar with the Governor himself undertaking Langar Sewa on the occasion.
Prominent among those present were Vivek Pratap Singh, Principal Secretary to the Governor, along with officers and employees of the Governor’s House.
The programme was organised under the leadership of the Raj Bhavan Employees’ Cultural & Sports Association, Punjab, Chandigarh, comprising Bhim Sain Garg, President, Kehar Singh, Vice President and Kamaljeet Singh, General Secretary and other employees of Punjab Raj Bhavan.
