GTAA Announces “Play for Unity – Season VI”

The Global Travel Agents Association (GTAA) has officially announced Play for Unity – Season VI, scheduled to be held from 8th to 12th January 2026 in Ahmedabad. A non-profitable initiative for the travel trade, Play for Unity has emerged as one of the most awaited annual platforms that blends business networking, cultural celebration, and sportsmanship within the Indian travel fraternity.
Launched in 2019 and successfully evolving into the Unity Festival in 2025, the sixth season is set to be the largest and most dynamic edition so far, attracting participation from travel professionals across the country.
UNITY B2B EXHIBITION | 8–9 January 2026
The event will commence with the Unity B2B Exhibition, scheduled on 8th and 9th January 2026, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at YMCA Club, S.G. Road, Ahmedabad.
The exhibition will host 120+ exhibitors and is expected to welcome over 3,000 travel trade partners from across India. Designed as a full-day networking experience, the exhibition will offer all-day dining, focused B2B interactions, and opportunities to build strategic partnerships across travel segments including tour operators, hoteliers, destination management companies, airlines, and service providers.
UNITY CULTURAL FEST | 8 January 2026
Adding color and celebration to the business platform, GTAA will host the Unity Cultural Fest on 8th January 2026, starting 7:00 PM onwards, at S.K. Farm, Ahmedabad.
The cultural evening is curated exclusively for the travel trade families, with an expected participation of over 4,000 attendees. The fest will showcase music, performances, and entertainment, promoting camaraderie, cultural bonding, and togetherness within the travel fraternity.
PLAY FOR UNITY – TRAVEL TRADE CRICKET TOURNAMENT | 10–12 January 2026
The highlight of the event series will be the Play for Unity – Travel Trade Cricket Tournament, scheduled on 10th, 11th, and 12th January 2026, from 7:00 AM onwards, at Tathastu Party Plot, Ahmedabad.
Recognized as the biggest travel trade cricket tournament in India, the championship will feature 200+ industry players representing travel companies and associations from across the country. The tournament symbolizes teamwork, sportsmanship, and unity beyond business.

Speaking about the initiative, Dr. Sanket Shah, President, GTAA emphasized that Play for Unity is more than an event, it is a movement aimed at strengthening relationships, encouraging collaboration, and fostering unity among travel professionals nationwide.
