Gully Cricket Tournament 2023

Chandigarh Police in association with UT Cricket Association (UTCA) is being organizing “Gully Cricket Tournament 2023” from 06th April to 23rd April 2023” which aims at encouraging youth to keep away from drugs and criminal activities.

Today, the super knockout matches of the tournament were played at grounds of Police Lines, Sector 26, Chandigarh and DAV School, Sector 8, Chandigarh in the morning session. All the participants and attendees took the oath against the drug abuse and they were also delivered lecture to promote the positive and healthy lifestyle. A ‘Nasha Mukti Express’ bus under campaign ‘Nasha Mukat Bharat Abhiyan’ of Chandigarh Administration also arrived at the venues and showcased the bad effects of drugs and their rehabilitation. The members of the UT Cricket Association were also present there. UTCA President, Sanjay Tandon honored the players in his vote of thanks.

The results of the today’s matches are as under:-

Team No. 53 won by 14 runs from Team No. 82 at Grounds of Police Lines, Sector 26, Chandigarh.
Team No. 20 won by 8 wickets from Team No. 50 at Grounds of DAV School, Sector-8, Chandigarh.
Team No. 98 won by 8 wickets from Team No. 90 at Grounds of Police Lines, Sector 26, Chandigarh.
Team No. 169A won by 21 runs from Team No. 161 at Grounds of DAV School, Sector-8, Chandigarh.
