Health department organized a Health Mela at Civil Hospital Sector 45 Chandigarh
The Ayushman Bhava Campaign was launched by MOHFW on 13.9.23 with the focus on expediting the access to healthcare services at grassroot levels thereby ensuring building a healthy nation.
In UT, Chandigarh, under Ayushman Bhav the Health department organized a Health Mela at Civil Hospital , Sector 45 which was inaugurated by Jt Director Cum Medical superintendent GMSH 16, Dr. V.K. Nagpal along with SDM South Naveen in the presence of Dy. Medical Superintendent Dr Parmjit Singh, Dy. Mayor Mr. Kanwaljeet Singh Rana, Senior Medical Officer Incharge CH 45, Dr. Navneet Kanwar, Dr. N.K Goel & Dr Sonia Arora from Community Medicine GMCH 32 and other senior officials.
All specialist OPD services were provided by doctors of GMCH 32 and UCHC- 45 where approx. 1000 patients availed health care services and were benefitted. They were given free medicines, MCH and free diagnostic services. In this camp 25 Ayushman cards were made and 75 health IDs were created.
Health talks were given by doctors on various health related topics and the public was sensitized regarding organ donation , blood donation and also the benefits of PMJAY scheme, organ donation and blood donation.
The department in the coming days would be organizing these Health Melas at Civil Hospital-45 on 5.10.23 & 19.10.23 and at Civil Hospital -22 on 26.9.23, 12.10.23 & 26.10.23 and similarly on every Saturday the health melas would be held at Health and Wellness Centers with the themes like Eye care, NCDs, TB, Leprosy, MCH services etc. along with another common services like Ayushman Card creation, ABHA id Generation, Tele-consultation .
