Inauguration of Citizen Services at Police Station Sector-26

Praveer Ranjan IPS, DGP/UT, Chandigarh has inaugurated Citizen Services Centre at Police Station, Sector-26, Chandigarh. During the occasion, Omvir Singh Bishnoi, IPS, IGP/UT, Kuldeep Singh Chahal, IPS, SSP/UT, Manisha Chaudhary, IPS, SSP/Traffic & Sec., Ketan Bansal, IPS, SP/City and other Senior Officers of Chandigarh Police were present.
The Citizen Services Centre is established to provide police services at one desk to enhance the efficiency and effective policing at all levels and especially at the Police Station level.
The Citizen Services Centre will provide services like e-FIR registration, complaint registration, character verification, employee verification, tenant verification, servant verification, lost article report, Police clearance certificate, senior citizen sticker, locked home registration, passport verification, know the status of complainant/case, application for horse riding School, application for shooting range and the services related to foreigner’s like issue of NOCs, Registration of foreigners, Visa extension, Exit/departure permission, Return/reentry Visa. This will improve the community relationship as well as build up good image of the police.
Purpose of Citizen Center: – Purpose of this Citizen center is centralized collection of all verifications at one common platform without going here & there. With the help of this Center Chandigarh citizens can discuss their relevant concern with the police officers. All Citizen’s request will be entertained in the Citizen Services Centre and relevant action on the request will be initiated on the same day. Citizens can also check the status of their request from their place itself. The fear of the police can be removed from the public and the image of the police can be improved.
