India Showcases Tourism Potential at IFTM Top Resa 2024 in Paris

The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, is making a significant impact at the IFTM Top Resa 2024 tourism trade fair, held in Paris from September 17th to 19th, 2024. This prestigious event is one of the foremost travel exhibitions globally.
Incredible India Pavilion Unveiled
The Incredible India Pavilion was inaugurated by H.E. Mr. Jawed Ashraf, Ambassador of India to France, along with officials from the Ministry of Tourism and state tourism departments of Meghalaya and Jammu and Kashmir. The pavilion serves as a vibrant showcase of India’s unique cultural heritage, diverse tourism offerings, and modern travel opportunities.
A standout feature of the pavilion is the presentation of Yoga practices, attracting considerable attention from visitors and highlighting India’s emphasis on wellness tourism.
Strengthening Inbound Tourism
India’s participation underscores its strategic aim to enhance its presence in key international markets, targeting a significant increase in inbound tourism. In 2023, India welcomed 9.24 million foreign tourists, including 180,000 from France, which ranks as the 11th largest source market for tourists to India.
The event attracts a wide range of participants, including travel agencies, tour operators, airlines, hoteliers, cruise lines, and tourism boards, fostering collaboration and engagement within the travel and hospitality industry.
