The Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Chandigarh, has dispatched a consignment of relief material to extend support to the citizens of flood-affected Punjab. The consignment includes food items, drinking water, medicines, clothing, blankets and other essential supplies required to provide immediate relief to the affected population.


​This initiative has been undertaken as part of the Society’s continued commitment towards humanitarian service and disaster relief. By mobilising resources at short notice, the Indian Red Cross Society, Chandigarh, has reaffirmed its resolve to stand in solidarity with the people of Punjab in this time of crisis.

​Speaking on the occasion DC-cum- Chairman (IRCS) Nishant Kumar Yadav, said that Society will continue to work in close coordination with its counterparts and other agencies to ensure that timely aid reaches the affected families. Such efforts reflect the spirit of compassion, cooperation and collective responsibility, which form the core values of the Red Cross Movement.

​The Indian Red Cross Society, Chandigarh, remains committed to extending every possible support to communities in distress and calls upon citizens to join hands in contributing towards relief and rehabilitation measures.
