Junior/Sub Junior Pitch and Putt Golf Competition at Chandigarh Golf Association

The Chandigarh Golf Association (CGA) organized a Junior/Sub Junior Pitch and Putt Golf Competition at the CGA golf range. In this competition total of 50 young budding golfers participated.

The competition was open to golfers aged between 12 and 18 years, and the Sub Junior category was for golfers under the age of 12 years for boys and girls both. The event aimed to promote golf among youngsters and provide them with an opportunity to showcase their skills in a competitive environment.

The competition was held in a pitch and putt format on a stroke-play basis.

Speaking about the ceremony, Mr. Yashvir Mahajan IAS (Retd), General Secretary of CGA and Chief Guest of the Day. They said, “We are delighted to see such a large number of young golfers participating in our Junior/Sub Junior Pitch and Putt Golf Competition. We aim to promote golf among youngsters and provide them with the necessary resources to develop their skills. We believe that this event will go a long way in inspiring these young golfers to take up golf as a serious sport.”

The winners of the competition were awarded trophies for Winner and Runner Positions for both Boys and Girls in each category.

The success of this event has paved the way for similar events in the future, which will provide more opportunities for young golfers to showcase their skills.
