As part of the Legal Convention 2024, a Charity Walk-A-Thon will be held to raise awareness about the importance of legal aid and access to justice for all citizens. The event will take place on 28th September 2024, starting at 6:30 AM from Sukhna Lake and concluding at the Open Hand Monument.
Led by Legal Services Authorities of Haryana, Punjab & Chandigarh, this Walk-A-Thon is a call to action for enhancing public understanding of the legal rights of common citizens and promoting easy access to justice. Participants will also have the opportunity to contribute to a plantation drive following the walk, as a symbolic gesture of growth and sustainability.
The event also marks a significant milestone, commemorating 75 years of the Constitution of India (1949-2024) and 70 years of Chandigarh since its formation in 1953. Citizens from all walks of life are encouraged to join and be a part of this noble cause.
