Lucky Questions BJP’s Priorities on Chandigarh Metro Project
The Voice of Chandigarh: H.S. Lucky, President of the Chandigarh Pradesh Congress, has criticized the BJP-led central government for their handling of public concerns regarding the metro project in Chandigarh. In a recent statement, Lucky highlighted a troubling discrepancy between the central government’s responses and the ongoing public discourse about the metro project.
According to Lucky, the central government’s recent reply to queries from the Congress MP from Chandigarh indicates a troubling lack of commitment to addressing critical public issues. He expressed astonishment at the Union Government’s claim that no metro proposal has been submitted by the Chandigarh administration, despite frequent media coverage and reports on the project.
“It’s disheartening to see that while the media regularly reports on various aspects of the metro project—such as route maps and estimated costs—nothing concrete has been done,” Lucky said. “The BJP-led central government seems more interested in misleading the residents of Chandigarh rather than addressing their genuine concerns.”
Lucky emphasized that the lack of progress on the metro project underscores a broader pattern of neglect by the BJP towards important local issues. He called on both the central government and the Chandigarh administration to provide clear and actionable plans to move the project forward, ensuring that it meets the needs and expectations of the city’s residents.
