Major Breakthrough for Chandigarh Police: Thief Arrested with Stolen Goods

In a significant achievement, the Chandigarh Police Station-19 has successfully apprehended a suspect linked to a recent theft case. Under the leadership of Ms. Kanwardeep Kaur, W/SSP/UT, and the close supervision of Mridul, SP/City, the operation was spearheaded by Jasbir Singh, DSP/East UT, and conducted by Insp. Usha Rani, SHO PS-19.
On September 19, 2024, police arrested Nitin Kumar (S/o Late Sh. Lalu Ram, residing at # 5532/1, MHC, Mani Majra, Chandigarh) in connection with E-FIR No. 941 dated September 18, 2024, under Sections 303 (2) BNS and 317 (2) BNS. During the investigation, officers recovered a stolen Activa (registration number PB03-AQ-0174) along with two stolen iPhones from Kumar’s possession.

Nitin Kumar has a notable criminal history, with previous charges including:
- Case FIR No. 04 dated January 4, 2022, under Section 379 IPC, PS-North, Chandigarh.
