Malaysia Waives Visa Requirements for Indian and Chinese Citizens
The Voice of Chandigarh News:
In a move to boost tourism, Malaysia has announced that it will grant visa-free entry to citizens of India and China for stays of up to 30 days, starting from December 1, 2023. This is a significant change, as Indian and Chinese citizens previously had to apply for visas before traveling to Malaysia.
The visa exemption is expected to encourage more tourists from India and China to visit Malaysia, which is a popular destination for Southeast Asian travel. In 2019, before the pandemic, Malaysia welcomed over 1.5 million tourists from China and 354,486 from India.
The visa exemption is also expected to benefit businesses in Malaysia, as it will make it easier for Indian and Chinese companies to send their employees to the country for business trips.
