MCM honours Principal Dr Girdhar Sharma

Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh honoured Dr Girdhar Sharma, Principal, Syon College, Abohar in a ceremony. A person with a multidimensional inspiring personality, Dr Girdhar Sharma was honoured for his contribution to the fields of education, literature and arts. With MA in Hindi, Psychology and Political Science, PhD in Hindi, MBA in Marketing, MJMC, Diploma in Urdu language and Diploma in Acting, Dr Sharma has donned several hats including that of Principal in different colleges, worked in newspapers and magazines in Hindi, Punjabi, English and Urdu, and also acted in Doordarshan serials. An inspiration to many, Dr Sharma envisions to kindle thirst for knowledge among young minds so that their horizons are widened and they contribute effectively to society. Dr Sharma also interacted with MCM staff members and expressed appreciation for the efforts of the MCM team led by Principal Dr Nisha Bhargava in taking the institution to greater heights.

Dr Bhargava lauded Dr Sharma’s role in promoting the cause of education and his significant contribution to the world of literature and arts. She added that students should learn from such personalities and remain consistent in the pursuit of excellence.
