Escalating geopolitical developments in the Middle East have triggered significant airspace restrictions, leading to widespread disruption in India’s domestic aviation sector.

A total of 350 flights operated by Indian domestic carriers were cancelled on March 1, 2026, impacting thousands of passengers across multiple airports.

Passengers have been strongly advised to check their flight status directly with their respective airlines and remain in close contact for updates regarding rescheduling, refunds, or alternate travel arrangements.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation confirmed that it is maintaining close coordination with airlines, airport operators, and other key stakeholders to continuously monitor the evolving situation. The ministry emphasized that proactive measures are being taken to ensure passenger safety and provide necessary assistance during the disruption.

Officials reiterated that safety remains the top priority, and further advisories will be issued based on developments in the region.
