Modernized Infrastructure and Lucky Draws Scheme await CITCO’s Petrol Pump, Sector 56

The Chandigarh Industrial and Tourism Development Corporation (CITCO), in collaboration with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), inaugurated the modernized retail outlet of the CITCO Petrol Pump at Sector 56, Chandigarh. The state-of-the-art facility was officially handed over to the public by Ajay Chagti, IAS, Chairman, CITCO, in the august presence of Hari Kallikkat, IAS, Managing Director, CITCO, Sh. Amit Kumar, Chief General Manager, CITCO, and Jitendra Kumar, Executive Director, IOCL.
This significant milestone marks a continuation of the long-standing partnership between CITCO & IOCL, spanning over 15 years and announced their plan to extend the association for another 20 years for Petrol Pump Sector 56. The collaboration has been pivotal in maintaining high standards of service at CITCO’s Petrol Pump. The high-selling retail outlet, recently upgraded to meet evolving customer expectations, boasts significant enhancements aimed at improving service quality and reducing fuelling time. The modernization includes fully automated operations, Integrated Transaction Processing Server, New Sales Building and Canopy with latest Retail Visual Identity elements, Improved Dispensing Facilities and addition of Branded Fuels.
The inauguration event also marked the launch of IOCL’s “an exciting Lucky Draw Scheme” with the chance to win various prizes during the “Happy Hour Fuelling” on regular fuel, as well as around-the-clock offers on branded fuel to customers.
Ajay Chagti, IAS, Chairman, CITCO, expressed his satisfaction at the completion of the modernization project. “This initiative reflects our unwavering commitment to enhancing public convenience and ensuring top-notch service delivery. The modernized petrol pump Sector 56 will provide an upgraded experience to customers, including improved infrastructure and allied services,” he said.
Hari Kallikkat, IAS, MD, CITCO, emphasized the importance of modernization in staying competitive. “The modernization of this retail outlet is a testament to mutual commitment of IOCL & CITCO of serving the community with the highest quality fuel and services.” he stated.
CITCO, in partnership with IOCL, remains steadfast in its goal to meet the evolving needs of the community and deliver exceptional service standards at its outlets. The Petrol Pump Sector 56 has experienced significant growth over the years, with sales increasing from 200 KL per month to 900 KL per month. Post-upgrade, the pump’s monthly sales are expected to rise to 1,100 KL which will further strengthen collaboration of IOCL and CITCO. The upgraded CITCO Petrol Pump Sector 56 is now operational and ready to serve customers with state of art facilities of Quick Lube Oil Change, Tyre Puncture Kiosk, and Digital Air Gauges to meet modern requirements.
