Moscow Boosts Tourism Ties with India: 500+ B2B Negotiations, VR Tour at Rally, and Student Engagement

The Moscow City Tourism Committee unveiled a dynamic event series in India, showcasing the capital’s tourism gems, creative industries, and youth opportunities. Engaging thousands—from students and motorcyclists to tour operators—these initiatives ignited new partnerships and reinforced Moscow-India bonds.
Moscow Wows 100+ Indian Operators with Tourism Opportunities
The Moscow City Tourism Committee hosted a high-impact business mission for India’s travel sector in New Delhi. The presentation showcased Moscow’s potential as a travel destination as well as Murmansk’s tourist offers as a part of “Moscow+” project , followed by B2B negotiations: over 100 Indian companies held 500+ meetings with Moscow partners, joined a Moscow-themed quiz, and received souvenirs.
The official part of the event featured speeches by DCM & Minister Counsellor at the Russian Embassy in India Mr. Roman Babushkin and Head of Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in India Dr. Elena Remizova, who highlighted the importance of adapting infrastructure for Indian guests.
VR Moscow Tour at Victory Motorcycle Rally
New Delhi’s Second Annual Motorcycle Rally—dedicated to the 81st anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the 79th anniversary of Russia-India diplomatic relations—drew 400+ riders from Russia, India, and allies. Organized by the Russian Embassy in India, Russian House in New Delhi, and “DBBR” and “Fathers” motorcycle associations, it featured Mr. Roman Babushkin’s address, St George Ribbon campaign, wreath-laying for honored Indian soldiers, and a “Motorcycles in the Service of the Soviet Army” exhibition.
As a part of the Rally, the Moscow City Tourism Committee introduced the Discover Moscow portal (https://discover.moscow/), offering user-friendly tools for trip planning. Guests viewed videos about Moscow, key attractions, and took a VR walk through the city’s main sights. This formed part of the strategy to attract Indian tourists.

200 Indian Students Get Moscow Study & Career Pitch
The Russian capital is boosting educational tourism ties with India. The Moscow City Tourism Committee engaged 200 students at India’s top private university, Banasthali Vidyapith, showcasing prime visit/study/career opportunities through flagship programs: “Start in Moscow”, “Youth of Moscow”, and the International Friendship Club.
Highlights included top attractions like Moskino film park, and India-tailored projects like the Bharat Utsav festival. The delegation presented the special guide “Indian Vibes in Moscow” with recommendations on Indian cuisine, nearby hotels, and historical Russia-India ties, developed with support from the Embassy of India.
