Mother’s Day celebrations at Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School
The Voice of Chandigarh News: On the sixth day of the Quasquicentennial celebrations of the congregation of CFMSS, Woodsia Alpina -the Eco Club of Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, Chandigarh, hosted a plethora of fun-filled activities for the Mother’s day.
The celebrations which included Foliage arrangement and Best out of waste competitions fostered the concept of not merely loving and caring for their mothers but also being benevolent and compassionate for Mother Earth
Music and dance recitals are presented by the junior and senior Heartians. charmed the audience. The participating mothers showcased their creativity in the Foliage arrangement Competition and Best out waste Competition.
Ms Vanita Ahuja was declared the best in the Foliage arrangement whereas the first runner up and the second runner up were Ms Roopam Jain and Ms Khushi Arora respectively. Dr Rimpi Sarin was given the consolation prize.
Rev Sr Arti, the Principal, felicitated the winners and asserted that Mothers are the first teachers and role models for their children. They must sensitise their children to be caring and respectful towards Mother Earth as well.
