MP Manish Tewari Urges Chandigarh Administrator to Address Longstanding Resident Issues

MP Manish Tiwari met with the Governor of Punjab and the Administrator of Chandigarh to extend his congratulations. During the meeting, he highlighted several issues faced by the residents of Chandigarh.
Chandigarh MP Manish Tewari met the Hon’ble Governor of Punjab and Administrator of Chandigarh UT Gulab Kataria and congratulated him on assuming charge.
Tewari highlighted the issues faced by the residents of Chandigarh and apprised him of 5 major problems of Chandigarh, some of which are pending for 25 years and urged him to use his good offices to resolve them.
- Share sale/transfer of property.
- Allowing need based changes in allotted/leased/sold/constructed/inhabited residential units of Chandigarh Housing Board.
- Ownership rights to people living in rehabilitation colonies.
- Abolition of revenue concept of Lal Dora as all 22 villages of Chandigarh are now part of Chandigarh municipal limits.
- Issues related to cooperative group housing societies which are pending for more than a decade now
