New canteen at GMSH-16 has started functioning

The new canteen at GMSH-16 has started functioning. The newly selected agency will pay monthly licence fee of Rs. 11.70 Lac + GST which is almost double of the monthly licence fee being paid by the earlier agency. However, rates of the food items will remain same. Further quality and hygiene will be ensured in better way. This canteen was previously operated by a family/group for last more than 35 years. Now after the selection of a new agency, through fair & transparent bidding process, possession of the Canteen has been taken back from the earlier agency.

Welfare of the Patients/Attendants is the top priority for the Health Department and the New Canteen will be dedicated to provide better sevices/food items to the public visiting the Hospital. The employees in the Hospital have appreciated this initiative.

The Health Department is now getting additional monthly income of about Rs. 50 Lacs because of fair & transparent bidding process adopted for Medical Shops and Canteen. This additional income will be spent for patients welfare activities only.
